The Relationship Between HACS and CReW

It may seem somewhat confusing to try to understand how Hawaii Aviation (HACS) and Crew Resources Worldwide (CReW) are both involved in the recruiting process for jobs at ANA. However, the explanation is fairly simple. HACS is a major investor in the new company Crew Resources Worldwide (CReW). CReW is managed by Frank Tabata, former President of Hawaii Aviation. It will take a year or two for CReW to reach full strength so in the meantime most of the recruiting functions of CReW are being outsourced to HACS. That means that even though you may fill out a CReW application for a position at ANA and even though you will actually be working for CReW, you will be talking to a recruiter at HACS. All of your paperwork will be handled at HACS and your arrangements for the screening process will be handled by HACS. The reverse is also true. Even though you fill out a HACS application for a job at ANA you will actually be employed by CReW. For the crewmember there is virtually no difference in the two companies. The new company (CReW) was formed in order to take advantage of some strategic alliances that will allow CReW to enter markets that HACs has not previously had access to. Eventually CReW will develop it’s own recruiting section and the process will be taken over by CReW but in the interim the recruiting process will all be accomplished by HACS.

If you have any further questions about this arrangement or about the two companies please do not hesitate to ask your recruiter.
